We are surrounded by color all the time. Colors emit energy that affects us emotionally as well as serving as decoration. Although we feel more comfortable with or are attracted to specific colors, all color is good.
It is fairly easy to use colors for healing. In general, gemstones in the same color range have some of the same basic healing properties. For example, red helps to ground physically and mentally, promoting courage and energy. The business women's red power suit is an example of the use of red. A necklace of Garnets would have the same effect.
Since many gemstones come in several color variations, they may be listed more than once under different colors. Please be aware that not all of the gemstones are available to make jewelry from at this time, nor is this list all inclusive.
